“The loveliest moment in the process of work is when the heart is singing”

Since the beginning music is deeply related to my art. I started to draw record sleeves in 1982. Later I spent my time to paint in watercolors. Because of the limited possibilities of aquarelle I finally switched to acrylic painting in 2000. After an extensive conversation with Wolfgang Lettl, a (meanwhile deceased) Surrealist from Augsburg, I was motivated to do my first exhibition. I work very intuitive for the most part. My target is to convey love, joy and enthusiasm to the canvas, which is expressed either gentle and quiet or very explosive. My key topics are love, deterioration, light and shadow, good and evil, spirituality or just Rockn’Roll.

I want to give thanks to my favourite bands Sigur Ros, Dead Can Dance, Beirut und Röyksopp (actually there are many more). Without them my art peaces would not be as they are.
